Anywhere Work Lab Editorial
About Anywhere Work Lab
An independent publication for people who work independently or run small businesses.
Anywhere Work Lab exists because the work around the work can become a job of its own: keeping track of projects, finding the right information, choosing software, handling recurring admin, and making sure the setup still works when circumstances change.
Written from an operator’s perspective
The publication is run by one independent small-business owner. Its perspective comes from managing client work, running projects, using software in daily operations, and experimenting with AI and automation.
The useful questions are usually quite ordinary. Did this reduce repeated work? Was it worth paying for? What broke? What took longer than expected? Would a simpler system have been enough?
What you will find here
Solo business systems, practical AI, and the tools and services that help work continue across borders.
Some articles explain a workflow. Others examine a product, compare options, or document an experiment that did not work as planned. The focus is the practical work of a small operation, rather than constant tool news or travel inspiration.
Experience and research are different kinds of evidence
A first-hand account can explain how a tool behaved in a particular workflow. Research can help check documentation, compare options, and understand a product that has not been used directly. Neither should be presented as the other.
A personal account is not a claim to have tested every feature, and a researched comparison is not proof of hands-on use. The aim is to make useful distinctions, acknowledge limits, and avoid turning one experience into a universal verdict.
Sometimes the sensible answer is to use a free option, keep the current setup, or do the task manually.
Editorial independence
Some articles contain affiliate links. A qualifying purchase may earn the publication a commission at no extra cost to the reader. Affiliate relationships do not determine the recommendations. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
A publication identity, with clear responsibility
Anywhere Work Lab Editorial is the public editorial identity of this publication. It is not a claim that a newsroom, testing department, or team of editors is involved. One operator is responsible for the work.
The operator keeps their personal identity private. The useful experience is in the work described: the problem, the approach, the tradeoffs, and what happened.
